Round 2: This was a bad idea

It's my turn this time. Zee had a previous appointment and Hawk is asleep. It's my turn anyways, Zee said I could write this chapter before she left. Anyways, I'll begin.

When I woke up that morning, I had a lot of hope for the tournement. All 3 of us had won the first round and that made me happy. I looked over at Hawk and Zee and my smile faded. Zee has a tendecy to curl up in her sleep if something bad has happened. I shook Hawk awake and Hawk agreed with me when I said that something must be wrong. Before we could wake her up however, the hotel intercom clicked on and a young womans voice stated that all duelists must report to the dueling hall in 15 minutes.

Zee had woken up when the ladies voice blared in the room. She looked over at me and Hawk and began to cry bitter tears. We held her and asked what was wrong, but she couldn't get the words out because of her crying.

Finally she wiped her eyes and said she'd tell us later. Hawk and I exchanged a worried glance, but we all got dressed and grabbed our decks and disks before rushing out the door. We would have to wait until later.

In the dueling hall, Martin and the green haired guy waved to us and surprisingly they started talking to each other. From the green haired guy's blushing face and Martins proximity to him, my guess would be that they were getting along great. Hawk just shook his head and shivered at the sight.

I looked back at Zee and saw that something was still majorly wrong. She was staring at the floor with her eyes wide with fear. Rose, one of my personalities, took over and walked over to her. She tilted Zees chin so we were looking into her eyes and she pulled Zee into a hug. "Whatever is wrong, my dear, is going to be alright, just you see." I heard my voice and felt my mouth move but it was Rose who moved my jaw and spoke. It's very strange for me to write this down.

Before Zee could say anything in response, the tv crackled to life and we all faced it and hushed. The King of Skull servents appeared nd began to speak.

"Hello everyone! I trust that we all had good first day?"

Many smiled and nodded at this while some just watched intently wanting him to get to his point.

"Well that's good, because from here on in, it's gonna get a bit harder. You see, I added into your mix a few...surprises. I call them Coffin Sellers, for a very good reason too."

His voice was no longer the voice of a good host. Instead he sounded like the Reaper, if the Reaper had a sore throat that is. He really seemed to have a good time teasing us with our new challenge.

"If you face off against one of my Coffin Sellers, you better not lose, because if you do...there is no redemption duel waiting for you at the end of the day."

Murmurs flowed through the crowd like rushing water. I turned to Zee and saw a look of pure rightous anger on her face.
Did something happen with her and the King of Skull servants or something?

"You will know who my Coffin Sellers are by a badge they wear." With this he held up a little coffin pin with the letters DH on the front.

"Good luck~"

The picture cut out and a woman grabbed my arm from behind and turned me around. She had blonde hair that swooped and curled in an almost alluring manner. Her eyes were an unreadable deep hazel and they were locked onto mine. She pointed to the badge on her chest and I shuddered.

She was a Coffin Seller.

"I challenge you to a duel, Vivian."

How did she know my name?

So…There is a plot?

Alright, I'm back. Vivian said she wanted to do the next one or the one after that, but I need to write this one. Mainly because it only happened to me.

After Hawk's hilarious battle (that we "overheard") we changed into our normal clothes and just walked around. It seemed like they had everything. From arcades to a library to a waterpark! Hawk didn't seem to like the waterpark very much, probably because of his last duel, so we went to eat at a place called "Gaia Knights Castle"

This particular resteraunt had live entertainment, with actors re-enacting famous duels and backstories for multiple archetypes, such as The Six Samurai and The Gravekeepers. Today they were doing an all medieval theme. A Shining Knight served us our food and a lot of other knights and warriors fought onstage. All in all it was very entertaining, especially when they grabbed Hawk and put him in a Celtic Gaurdian outfit and forced him to battle with him. Vivian and I cheered Hawk on and laughed at all who fell before his pseudo-foam sword. At one point however it looked like Hawk was going to lose to a Dark Flare Knight when Vivian and I got a bright idea.

We called out to the knight and when he turned to us, Vivian and I kissed. While the Knight was thouroughly distracted, Hawk wacked him in the back and claimed victory. We went back to Hawks room that night with all kinds of trophy items from the resteraunt. Hawk ended up getting our entire meal free, along with a few ultra rare cards. Vivian and I got bouquets from the entire cast, who just so happened to be all guys that day. On the way back to Hawks room, we picked up a bottle of sparkling flavored water, that we pretended was champagne. We partied quite thouroughly in Hawks room and ended up falling asleep there.

Right around 11pm La jinn woke me up from my slumber. He was pointing to the door and urging me to go out, so I left a shoe in the door and went out. I had considered grabbing Hawks room key but I remembered what the King of Skull Servants had said about them being able to track our movements. I followed La Jinn down the hall and down the steps. He led me across the hotel and up more stairs before we arrived on the balconey of the main Dueling Hall. He pointed into the room below and placed one finger against his lips, telling me to keep quiet. I quietly crawled over to the railing and peeked through.

Below us were referees. I only recognized our own referee, but all of them had Goblin Zombie duel spirits. Now it is very rare to find someone with the same duel spirit as you or me, so seeing all these Goblin Zombies really shocked my system. As I watched, an elevator appeared right below the giant TV. The one who stepped out of the elevator was a King of Skull servants, I kid you not! He stepped out, not floated out, and adressed the referees.

"Are the plans set for tomorrow?"

His voice was strong yet raspy, like someone crinkling up a ball of paper right behind your ear. It made me cringe. On the tv he had  differant voice, authoritive yet kind and funny. This time however, he truly seemed dead to me.

The referees nodded and he dismissed them. After they had all gone, a number of Robed duelists came in with normal duelists behind them. I only recognized Emily and Martin in the small crowd. I found out later that the robed duelists were the Redemption deulists. These Redemption deulists all had Spirit Callers for Duel Spirits which unnerved me again. The King of Skull Servants raised his hands and addressed the crowd in his usual voice.

"Welcome Losers! You will now face a Redemption Deulist in order to see if you stay or go! If you lose stay where you are. If you win go back to your room. Banned cards and restrictions on cards here are null and void. Use what you want and however much you want in your decks. After all you are dueling for your life..."

He grinned at this last part and most of the duelists shuddered. I shuddered too.

Some did modify their decks, and others did not. As the duels went on, it didn't really seem to matter. Only a handful of people got to go back to their rooms. The green haired guy was one of them along with Martin. Emily stayed however. I guess today wasn't her lucky day.

After all the duels were over the King looked over all of those that were left and smiled broadly. The Spirit Callers left the room but it seemed like the duelists themselves couldn't move. Some tried. Emily tried to move her feet, but just ended up falling over.

The King raised his arms and began to chant. The floor glowed with a design that was cleverly hidden beneath the floorboards. All of the duelists duel spirits solidified and were sucked towards the King. He absorbed them all and all the duelists fell to their knees. After a moment, Skull Servents appeared by their sides. The all got up and turned to the King. He put his arms down and shouted,

"Now go my new minions! Go and bring me more souls!"

As they filed out I tiptoed out of the room and ran back to Hawks room. I curled up between the two of them and wept. What had I gotten us in to?

I wept myself to sleep...

Hawk hates Hot Springs.

Okay Zee, My turn to tell this... After all, you two were kind of side-lined for it.
Oh, and if you didn't know? This is Hawk. My turn. After all, this is about my duel... creepy as it was... yeesh...

Our story begin is hot spring not to far far away... from the hotel that is. Behind it, in fact. Yes, yes, Zee, I know, I know, get to it already. Well guess what, it's my narrative now! Muahahahahah-*cough cough*
Okay, okay, it's your blog, no reason to get violent... And yes, it's your computer, Vivian... Gah! Let me speak already!

Okay, so, where was I? Oh, right.
Spa. Hot spring.
Creepy green-haired guy challenging me.
Oh, and I'm wearing nothing but a towel...

But that's getting ahead of things... what happened before that again... uhhh... just a second... ummm... oh! Right!

Vivian slapped me. I mean, sure, I deserved it...

I guess.

Okay, yes, Zee, I totally deserved whatever punishment I got. Happy? Okay? Let me TALK. Geeze. Do you WANT me to just skip over this and say "oh, hey, yeah, I won. Off-screen. No hot springs. No duel. Just go with it." No? then please, stop interrupting me!

Now, where was I again? Oh, right, Vivian slapped me. Zee too. Oh, she didn't mention that? Well, she did. Opposite side too. Hurt like a b-oh, right, can't say that. Sorry! Yes, slapped, twice, in a row, on opposite sides of my face. And then they left, leaving me at the center of a crowd of people pointing and laughing. At me.

So I left.

I felt like I should apologize. I mean, I was pretty much just hitting on this random girl, right in front of them... and we've known each other for years. Yeah... I was kind of a jerk.

Reaching the rooms, I went to knock when I noticed a note on the door.
Hawk, Went to hot spring behind hotel. Needed to cool down. Be back later.    - V+Z

"...Figures." I sighed, heading to my own room. Might as well grab a deck and disk just in case. After all, Vivian and Zee can deny duels for the rest of the day, but I had yet to duel... best be safe than sorry. Packing up I headed for the hot springs, Taking along my 'deck of the day', as I called it. Contrariwise to what Zee might tell you, I use a variety of decks. Almost all of them machines, but so many cards are in rotation it's almost impossible to tell what I'll be running day to day.

Reaching the hot springs I noticed something that really didn't sit well with me.

Separate areas.

Turns out, I'm realizing now (hindsight is 20/20 they say), that I've spent so much time around Vivian and Zee that I'm not used to just 'hanging out' with guys that much. Who knew?
Heading into the hot springs I removed my clothes in a separate room and put on the hotel supplied trunks (well, okay, I lied, I wasn't just wearing a towel) and grabbing a towel. Thankfully in recent years they've found a way to make cards water-resistant, and duel disks waterproof. My own custom disk included.
Wrapping my towel around my waist I carried my disk under my arm. Glancing around I blinked (not that you could tell) at the sheer number of men here. Most of them were conversing or talking about duels they had already been in, or opponents they hoped to face in the tournament.
At one side there was a man with long, blond hair and a scar over his eye. He had a duel disk on his arm in the shape of a giant sword. Weird huh? It gets weirder. On the exact opposite side there was a guy wearing a full set of DARK BLUE ARMOR. He even had a horn! And this giant mutated-looking arm...
Wearing a towel around his waist over his armor.
And weirder still? The guy with the sword-disk and all his, well, angelic qualities, was currently dueling someone, and summoned out Darklord Zerato to win. The giant demon-looking guy in armor? Arclord Zerato. Wow, talk about mixed-identities.

As unnoticeably as I could, I made my way over to an unoccupied area of the hot springs, hoping to avoid any... unwanted attention.

Funny how that worked out.

"Well, honey!~ Aren't you just the cy~utest thing ever?~"
I swear to this day, I did not scream like a little girl.
I did not jump 5 feet out of the water.
I did not hide behind the large armored man like a small child.
No one can prove any different.

Shut up Zee.

No, Calmly, I turned to look at the man who had... addressed me. He was rather tall, with green, moss-like hair, a mole below his eye...
And no discernible nose. At all. Just two little dots. Between his eyes. Oh, and he had this little... spider... robot... thing, on his shoulder.
"Sooo~... Have you dueled anyone, sweetie?~" He addressed me again, fluttering his rather... long eyelashes... oh gods, was he wearing eyeshadow?
"Umm... no?" I answered, unsure. This man... well... I think he's man... Merely smiled. Widely. With obvious intent.
"Well then, honey~" he winked again, "Lets duel!~ You and me, two men expressing their fires of passion together for all to see!~ Ohh~, I'm getting shivers just thinking about it!~"
I swear. My skin did not crawl. I have listened to Vivian and Zee spouting about their love for Yaoi for almost five years now. This man was nothing. Nothing I say!
Okay, even I don't believe that. He was seriously that creepy!
I held back the gag that formed upon his challenge. "Uhh....s-sure..."
Suddenly, the water between us burst up in an explosion of hot water, soaking all the surrounding duelists in the process, revealing... the judge from both Vivian and Zee's duels?
"Alright! This is an official Tournament medaba-I mean... Official Duelist Hotel Duel!" He stumbled slightly, however retaining his energetic tone. There were several others in the hot springs who were confused, as this man hadn't appeared for their own duels. The hell? Does anyone else notice this?
"Alright honey!~ Lets get this started~ Lets go babies!" The strange machine on his shoulder suddenly sprung to life, crawling down to his arm and folding out into a duel disk.
That was actually pretty damn cool. Him calling it 'baby'? Still creepy.

I strapped on my own duel disk, it extending out into it's full platformed state as I inserted my deck near the rear.
"Duelists ready?" The judge asked, getting the O.K. from both, he held up his hands "Lets get ready to Ro-Batt-I mean, Duel Start!"

"I'll go first honey~" The man winked, drawing a card. I was so disturbed I failed to challenge it and simply allowed him to, drawing my own 5 cards.

Duelist: 8000 Hawk: 8000

"I'll summon out a big, manly warrior! Go, Marauding Captain!~" He brought out the monster but... something was off with it... The cape was red, and his hair was blue instead of it's standard blond... and was it wearing sunglasses?
"My manly captain's effect lets me summon out another of my little babies, Come on out, Drill Synchron!~" The small machine tuner was also off-color... instead of brown it was a dark red, with pink and blue accents. So strange...
"Now!~ Their manly souls will combine to form another, stronger champion of burning passion!~ Synchro Summon: Drill Warrior!~ C'mon out baby and strut your stuff!~"

I nearly lost my breakfast as he spoke. Honestly, a guy can only take so much. Looking up at the summoned monster, it's color scheme was also off. Like Drill Synchron it was a dark red, with blue accents and a strange crest on its shoulders...
"I'll set one spell or trap, and end my turn honey~" the man smiled at me and I gagged, drawing my card.
Looking over my hand I saw a few monsters, and a spell and trap. Sighing, I set one monster and ended my turn.

The man started with a wink, sending another shiver down my spine.
"Alright honey~ It's my turn and I can use my manly warrior's effect!~ By cutting his Atk in half he can attack directly!~ Go, Drill Warrior! Give this cutie a nice, Manly thrust of your big, power~ful drill!~"
I swore, as the attack landed, I could hear a "That's what she said!" from the girl's side of the hot springs.

Duelist: 8000 Hawk: 6800

The man smiled and sent a card from his hand to the Graveyard, Dandylion. "Now, I can discard 1 card and Banish my Manly warrior for one turn!~ He'll be back again for round two next turn~ But before that, my little Lion's effect brings out two fluff tokens to defend me!" With this he winked, as the two tokens appeared in defense as he ended his turn.

I shuddered and drew.
"Alright. I'll flip up my face-down Geargiarmor. His effect lets me add a Geargiaccel to my hand from my deck!" taking the selected card as the empty armor appeared on my field, it's two shields split apart in an offensive stance. "Now I can Normal Summon out a Green Gadget, who adds a Red Gadget to my hand." I added the appropriate monster to my hand before my deck shuffled itself.
"Now, because I control Geargiarmor I can special summon the Geargiaccel from my hand!" The empty racecar appeared on my field. "And to top it off, I'll activate the mystical Space Typhoon from my hand, destroying your spell or trap!"

The man whined as his Mirror Force Trap was destroyed. I however grinned.

"Alright, first my Geargiarmor will attack your first token, and my gadget will attack your second, allowing Accel to attack directly!"
The man cried out as the formula racer crashed into him, and his lifepoints.

Duelist: 6600 Hawk: 6800

"But my turn doesn't end there." I commented, grinning. "I construct the Overlay Network, Overlaying My Geargiarmor, Geargiaccel, and Green Gadget to bring out a creature of pure darkness, so powerful that even after death it rose again to lay waste to the world that imprisoned it! Xyz Summon!"

The large, spiral portal appeared between us, causing several people to gasp, apparently this was the first Xyz summon of the tournament. Who knew? My three monsters descended into the swirling vortex of energy as lightning struck the center, causing a large shape to come forth, its large body twisting and writhing as the contamination that overtook it fought for control over the triplicate minds of a once-great creature.

"Evilswarm Ouroboros!"

The portal vanished as the enormous creature roared in triumph, causing the man I was facing to fall over backwards.
"I... I thought you used machines! All my research of the competitors ~..."

"Well, guess you can't judge a book by its cover. Or a gear by its model. My ouroboros has a special effect I can activate by letting it consume one of its material" I said, indicating the three stars orbiting its heads. "I'll use one of them now, detaching my Green Gadget to banish the Dandylion in your Graveyard!" Oouroboros' right head lashed out, consuming the star that orbited it before breathing a stream of ice and shadows at the other man, a hologram of Dandylion getting sucked into another dimension appeared from the man's graveyard.
With that I ended my turn, grinning.

"Well...~ Looks like I'll have to study you a little..." I shuddered as he spoke again, licking his lips with a creepy smile that caused some of the other men to step away "Deeper.~" He drew a card and smiled.
"My manly warrior returns to the field, with his full attack no less!~" He said as Drill Warrior burst back onto the field, drilling through dimensions to return to it's summoner. Thankfully my ouroboros was 350 ATK higher than Drill warrior. Unfortunately?

"I activate Drill Warrior's effect, returning Marauding Captain to my hand! Now I can summon him, and use my manly captain's effect again, summoning...~" He put on a dramatic flair, "Another copy! Protecting both of my monsters from battle! And by cutting my warrior's attack in half I can attack directly!~ Go, Drill Warrior! Manly piercing Drill!"

I cringed as the attack landed. Both because my lifepoints were chipped away again, but also because of the way this guy attacked me verbally as well. There was no way this was how he actually acted.

Duelist: 6600 Hawk: 5600

"Now I can discard 1 card..." He said, sending a Level Eater to the Graveyard "To banish my warrior one more time!" With this Drill Warrior proceeded to dig its way away from my monsters again.
"Your move honey~"

I cringed once more. This was disturbing.
'I swear,' I thought 'I will never complain about yaoi ever again.'

I drew, grinning at the lucky pull I managed. "Well, what do you know?"
"You know how I mentioned my Ouroboros had different effects? Here's another. By detaching Geargiaccel I can return your Defense Position captain to your hand!" Ouroboros' left head lashed out, consuming its material before letting out a roar of energy at the off-color captain, sending him flying backwards as his card returned to the man's hand.

"Now, I summon out a Red Gadget, allowing me to add a Yellow Gadget to my hand from my deck. but the fun doesn't end there, I activate Iron Call, summoning a Green gadget from my graveyard, who adds a second red to my hand. Now, by overlaying the two..."

The overlay network appeared again, swirling as my two gadgets mixed into the mass of stars, gears shooting out as a massive golem of gears and armor appeared.

"I can Xyz Summon Geargiganto X! and by detaching a Red Gadget, I can add a Geargiaccel from my deck to my hand!" Giganto had the two gadgets sitting in sots on its chest. the red one suddenly dropped into its body cavity, before an Accel burst from the slot there, added to my hand.

"Now, Giganto X, Attack!" Giganto X held out its hands and let out a barrage of gears, cutting the off-color captain to ribbons.

Duelist: 5500 Hawk: 5600
"And My Ouroboros will attack as well!"
Evilswarm Ouroboros combine blasts from its three heads into a single beam of ice, completely decimating the other's lifepoints.

Duelist: 2650 Hawk: 5600

I grinned and set two cards face-down and ended his turn.
"Oh my~! This is quite the pickle, isn't it?~" The man giggled. GIGGLED. I swear he's not right in the head...

"I draw, and my manly Drill Warrior returns to my field, bringing my captain back to my hand! Now I'll summon him and use his effect to summon another in Defense!"

"C'mon, that didn't work last turn either." I muttered, rubbing my forehead. He merely looked indignant as he played a facedown.

"Yes, but now I can just attack your Giganto and get rid of it!" He said, sending Drill Warrior to attack my monster.

"Huh. not many people fall for this. I activate Magic Cylinder." he cried out as he took the 2400 damage.

Duelist: 250 Hawk: 5600

I grinned again. "Game over creepy." I said, activating my last face down.

Just Desserts

Duelist: 0 Hawk: 5600   Winner: Hawk

The creepy man(?) fell to his knees as his lifepoints dropped to nothing. After a moment, his defeat seemed to sink in and he was back on his feet. Before the referee was able to escort him out he wrapped an arm around my shoulder.

"That was a Delightful~ battle, cutey... You have so much Passion~ stored up.*teehee*"

I tried to get as far away from him as I could, but he held me in place and continued. For a man who wears eyeshadow he was pretty strong.

"If you ever need to blow~ off a little steam~, or perhaps have another duel, call me!" With that he tried to hand me a card, but I pushed his hand away stuttering," I-I'm in a r-relationsh-ship..."

He pouted, yes he POUTED, and handed me the card anyways saying," Well than call me when she's not home...See ya cutey~"

The referee escorted him away and I looked down at the card. It was a business card, and apparently he was a mechanic. I shredded it and threw away the pieces.

I decided to leave since, obviously this was no longer a place to relax. At the door Zee and Vivian were waiting for me in nude colored bikinis. I would've enjoyed the sight better if they weren't laughing so hard.

"We just saw your new Rival, Hawk." Zee teased. Vivian chimed in," She looked hard to beat. You didn't hurt her feelings did you?"

They nearly fell over laughing, so I wrapped one arm around both of their waists and asked, "Am I forgiven now?"

Between giggles they both said yes. I smiled and thought to myself, "How'd I get so lucky?"

How to kill a Dragon

After my battle with Martin, we decided to get some real breakfast before Vivian and Hawk challenged anyone. They had plenty of resteraunts to choose from in the basement and on the main floor. We decided to have breakfast in one of the basement resteraunts called "Cafe Berfomet." The resteraunt wasn't very busy but there were a couple of people there. We were almost done with our food when a woman with an Eclipse Wyvern as her duel spirit approached our table. She glared at me and Vivian but decided to ignore us. Hawk on the other hand was cursed with her full attention. She asked him his name and leaned forward, revealing some assets that neither I nor Vivian had nor have currently. (I do not like sensoring myself but I'd rather sensor myself than get kicked off the site.) Hawk stared at her assets with no shame and I could've sworn he opened his eyes just a little. She began to whisper into his ear and I saw Vivian in the corner of my eye start to turn red with fury. She had picked up one of the leftover biscuits and was crushing it in her hand. The strange woman finally took his hand and began to lead him away from us when Vivian picked up another biscuit and chucked it at the womans head. It hit her square in the face and she let go of Hawk, who wisely went back to his seat.

The woman spun on her high heels and glared at Vivian with equal fury, but Vivian was no longer Vivian. If I know her personalities well enough, this one was Seline. Her duel spirit  was Garmr of the Nordic Beasts, and both of them had nasty tempers. Seline challenged the woman with pure fury in her voice, "If you have any dignity at all, you will duel me, wench." The womans eye twitched at being called wench but she held out her hand and said, "Your on, b!*#h."

The referee leaped over the counter and slid over to the two women. "This is an official Duelist Hotel duel! As such, I will act as referee so that no one does anything unfair. Duelists ready?" The strange woman nodded and Seline glared at the woman. If it wasn't for the fact that it wasn't allowed, she would've punched that woman right in the jaw.

Seline got to go first and she drew. She normal summoned Dverg of the Nordic Alfar in face-up attack and thanks to his effect she was able to normal summon again. She normal summoned Tyr of the Nordic Champions in face-up attack. She also added a Nordic Draupnir to Tyr making his ATK 2800. She set one card face-down in her spell and trap zone and ended her turn.

The woman (whose name was Emily we found out later) drew. She grit her teeth and put one card face-down in defense position and ended her turn.

Seline drew and placed one card in face-down defense and put Dverg in defense mode before attacking Emily's face-down with Tyr. The White Stone of Legend was revealed and sent to the Graveyard. Because of its effect Emily put Blue Eyes White Dragon from her Deck into her hand. Seline ended her turn. Garmr was getting antsy next to her. He kept pacing back and forth.

Emily drew and bit her lip before setting a face-down and placing a card in the spell and trap zone. She ended her turn.

Seline drew. She Mystical Space Typhooned Emily's face-down which revealed a Magic Drain. The Magic Drain was sent to the graveyard and Tyr attacked her other face-down. The face-down was Shining Angel and because of it's effect she special summoned Kaibaman. She tributed Kaibaman for Blue Eyes and Seline used Compulsion Evacution Device to send Blue Eyes back to hand. She ended her turn.

Emily drew and set a face-down and placed a card in the spell and trap zone. She ended her turn.

Seline drew. She set a card in the spell and trap zone. Tyr attacked her face-down, which was Red Eyes B. chick. Chick went to the graveyard. Emily activated her Face-down Dust Tornado  and destroyed Draupnir and because of it's effect she got another Draupnir to hand. Tyr was back to 2000 ATK and Seline ended her turn.

Emily drew. She set a monster and ended her turn. She was gritting her teeth hard enough to crack them. She knew Seline was just toying with her, humiliating her by drawing the duel out.

Seline drew and tributed her face-down Tanngrisnir and tribute summoned Cyber Dragon. Cyber Dragon took care of Emily's face-down Herald of Creation and Tyr attacked directly. Emily now had 6000 and Seline had 8000. She ended her turn.

Emily drew and used Reasoning. Seline decided on 4 and Emily drew. She drew 5 cards before revealing Prime Material Dragon. Because of Reasoning she was able to special summon Prime Material Dragon and sent the 5 cards to the graveyard. She was not satisfied with Prime Material Dragon however and she used Monster Gate. She ended up special summoning Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer in face-up attack while destroying Prime. Seline laughed at the turn of events and Emily turned red in embarrassment. Seline smiled viciously and asked if she was done with her turn. Emily nodded and snarled. She was foolish to try and get something bigger than Prime.

Seline drew and equipped Tyr with another Draupnir. She switched Dverg to Attack mode and used Nordic Relic Brisingamen, and copied Kycoo's attack. Cyber Dragon destroyed Kycoo inflicting 300 damage to Emily's Lifepoints. Tyr and Dverg attacked directly and lowered Emily's lifepoints to 1100. emily was at 1100 and Seline was at 8000. She ended her turn and Dverg went back to it's original Attack.

Emily drew and removed Kycoo and Prime from play and special summoned LightPulse Dragon. She attacked Cyber Dragon inflicting 400 damage to her lifepoints. Emily ended her turn. Emily was at 1100 and Seline was at 7600.

Seline drew and normal summoned another Tyr. The powered up Tyr attacked LightPulse and destroyed it, inflicting 300 damage to her lifepoints and the other Tyr attacked and lowered her lifepoints to nothing. Seline 7600 Emily 0.

The referee escorted Emily away and Vivian walked over to Hawk and slapped him in the face.

"I deserved that, I suppose..."

Counter-Counter-Counter

"...I challenge you to duel, man."

"Alright then."

He smiled and we walked a couple of feet from each other before turning back. Our duel disks activated with a flash and one of the referees appeared. His own duel spirit was a Goblin Zombie, which surprised me. I had never seen a Goblin Zombie as a duel spirit before. The referee threw up his hands and yelled out,

"This is an official Duelist Hotel duel! As such, I will act as referee so that no one does anything unfair. Duelists ready?"

Both me and Martin stared at the energetic referee and blinked in astonishment. The referee took out  coin and told us the pick heads or tails. I picked tails, but it landed on heads. Martin drew his first hand and set a monster in facedown defense and placed one card in the spell and trap zone before ending his turn.

I drew and normal summoned Blast Magician before activating Arcane Barrier and  placing an Enlightenment face-down.Blast Magician gained a "spell" counter because of Arcane Barrier. Blast Magician attacked his facedown and revealed Alien Grey. Blast Magician gained an "A" counter and his attack went down to 1100 but still destroyed Alien Grey. Martin got to draw a card thanks to the destruction and effect of Alien Grey and I ended my turn.

Martin drew and normal summoned Alien Warrior and activated Mysterious Triangle. Because of it, Blast Magician was destroyed and Martin was able to special summon Alien Hunter. Because Blast Magician was destroyed, Arcane Barrier gained a spell counter. Alien Warrior and Hunter attacked me directly and I lost 3400 LP, leaving me 4600. Alien Hunter was sent to the graveyard because of Mysterious Triangle. He ended his turn.

I drew and normal summoned Defender, the Magical Knight and equipped Book of Secret Arts to it. Defender destroyed Alien Warrior and inflicted 100 damage to Martin. I activated Enlightenment and Defender inflicted 1900 to Martin's LP. Because of Warriors effect, Defender got 2 "A"counters and I ended my turn. Martin had 6000 and I had 4600.

Martin drew and normal summoned Alien Ammonite. Because of its effect he special summoned Alien Hunter. He also activated Code A Ancient Runes. He synchro summoned for Cosmic Fortress Gol'gar and activated its effect. He sent Arcane Barrier and Book of Secret Arts back to my hand and put 2 "A" counters on Code A Ancient Runes. Because of Code A he removed the 2 "A" counters and special summoned Alien Warrior from the graveyard. He attacked with Cosmic and I removed a spell counter from Defender and stopped his attack. Alien Warrior attacked then and destroyed Defender and inflicted 800 damage. I'm at 3800 and he's at 6000.

I drew and used Swords of Revealing Light. I placed one Aussa the Earth-charmer face-down and ended my turn.

He drew and normal summoned another Alien Hunter. He smiled silently to himself and ended his turn.

I drew and normal summoned Familiar possessed Dharc. I flipped Aussa and took control of his Alien Warrior. I sent Alien Warrior and Aussa to the Graveyard and special summoned Familiar possessed Aussa. I wiped the smug look off of Martins face by equipping Aussa with a Hygro Book of Spell. I destroyed Cosmic Fortress Gol'gar and inflicted 250 damage to his LP. Dharc destroyed Alien Hunter and inflicted 250 more damage. Code A Ancient Ruins had 2 "A" counters.  I ended my turn and I was at 3000 and he was at 5500.

He drew and scratched the back of his head and sighed. He removed 2 "A" counters from Code A and special summoned Alien Warrior. He ended his turn and sighed.

I drew and set Royal Magical Library in defense mode. Aussa destroyed Alien Warrior and inflicted 50 damage to his LP. Dharc inflicted 1850, leaving him at 3600. I ended my turn.

Martin drew and placed a monster in face-down defense before ending his turn.

I drew and normal summoned La Jinn. Aussa destroyed his face-down Alien Dog and La Jinn and Dharc attacked directly.

Martin smiled and shook my hand. He told me good game and the referee led him away. Martin stopped partway though and yelled back, "You better keep winning, Zee! I'll defeat the redemption duelists and come back to defeat you, dude! I'll see you later man!"

I watched him go and all I could think was, "...He thought I was guy, didn't he?"

This took so long to write ((O.O)) If there was some way that I didn't see that would've make Zee lose, please keep it to yourself.Because it took me 5 hours to write this. Leave me aloneeeeeeeee...... I mmight take next week off. I don't know yet.

Tournament Rulings

The alarm blared at 8:00am and I threw a pillow at the stupid timepiece. After dragging my butt out of bed, I grabbed a bagel, got dressed, and knocked on Vivian and Hawks doors with duel disk on my arm. Vivian came out freshly washed with her duel disk on her arm. Hawk however came out still in his pajama's with his hair poking up in 8 differant directions. After helping him get ready, we ran to the dueling hall and made it just in time.

The tv was on and a King of Skull Servants was speaking.

"Welcome duelists to Duelist Hotel! I'll get straight to the point and tell you the rules."

"First, you must duel 1 person daily. After the first duel you can decline, but you must duel the first person that challenges you. If you lose, your room key will open your door one more time so you can get your stuff. After that you must leave.

"Second, the current banlist is in effect and the referee's know it front and back. If you are caught with banned cards in your deck, you will automatically be disqualified.

"Thirdly, after 10pm you can no longer challenge anyone. If you have not dueled anyone, your room key will only work once more. You can start challenging duelists at 9 am.

"Fourthly, after you have lost you will have a chance to redeem yourself by fighting one of our redemption duelists, who will visit your room at 10pm. If you win, you get to stay and duel. If you lose you must leave.

"And last but not least, you can duel any duelist anywhere, except the bedrooms, bathrooms, and hallways. The main dueling hall can be used except after 10pm because the redemption duels will occur in the main dueling hall.

"Now then everyone, please put your roomkeys into the field spell spot. The room key will not effect your duels, but it will track your movements and record the duels. Now then, let the tournament BEGIN!!"

The television cut out and there was a soft murmer from the crowd of duelists. I slipped my room key into my field spell spot and felt a tapping on my shoulder. I turned and there was a young man of about 20 with a Alien Shocktrooper as a duel spirit. The man said his name was Martin and he stuck his hand out. I shook his hand and stated my name. He smiled at me and said,

"It's a pleasure to meet you Zee. I challenge you to a duel, man."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I will have the duel up next week guys. I just need to research Aliens and Charmers a bit more.

Also there will be a trope filled episode later on, (Haru, you know what I'm talking about) I just haven't decided where to put it yet.

See you next week!

A tournament to die for…

Now then, I've left you all on a cliffhanger long enough. ViVi-chan said that it isn't good to leave someone on a cliffhanger for too long or else they lose interest. I hope none of you lost interest!

On the day of the tournament, all of us were nervous. I didn't usually go to tournaments because I hate dueling in front of a lot of people. Any therapist will tell you it's performance anxiety and then tell you it's probably because of my family being messed up. At that point I'd be beating up said therapist with a crowbar, because no one talks bad about my family. Ever.

Hawk drove us there. I'm no good at driving anything, and Vivian was too sleepy. I sat in the back with her and talked to Hawk as he drove. She ended up falling  asleep on the way there after she rested her head on my shoulder. Hawk looked back once or twice and smiled at us. I told him to keep his eyes on the road or else he couldn't watch us later. He laughed so hard, he swerved across the road for a bit and almost woke up Vivian.

The building we were going to duel in was large and imposing. It stuck out amongst the little brick houses, like an emperor surveying his land. After we parked and got Vivian up, we went inside. We had already called ahead, so we were able to get a room. The building was designed for tournaments. Everyone started out with a normal hotel room. The more wins you get, the better your room. After one loss however, you would have to leave. We all had our own rooms since we were competing against each other. The actual tournament wasn't going to start until the next day so we explored and checked out the competition.

There were a lot of other duelists there. The main dueling hall had designated areas for dueling, along with viewing areas around them. There were also balconies all around the room except one wall so you could get a better view. On the wall without balconies, there was a large television with everyones names on it. Next to their names was their status. Next to ours it said checked in. There were only one or two that said canceled and about 10 that said on their way.

For a minutes the list was replaced by a message saying that all duelists need to be in the dueling hall by 9 o'clock sharp. We looked at each other and smiled, nervousness flowing through our veins. After a little discussion, we ate dinner at the hotel resteraunt and went back to our seperate rooms.

The next day was the start of our battle with evil.

A little about my friends.

As I said last time, the tournament was at the end of the month. To earn money for the tournament entry fee and cards, we all did odd jobs around the neighborhood. Vivian babysat kids after school. Hawk mowed lawns and weeded gardens. I on the otherhand went around cleaning peoples houses. It was hard work but in the end it was worth it since we all pulled at least 1 shiny rare.

Now I realize that after 4 posts you know a bit about me and the way I process things but you don't really know Vivian and Hawk other from what I've told you. I wish to remedy that by letting you in on a couple of things that I've learned about them over the years. I'll start with Hawk.

Now in our little group, at first glance, Hawk just seems to be the token guy. Like most guy stereotypes, he is a major pervert. Because of him, neither me nor Vivian can wear skirts around him. On the other hand he is very intelligent and when it comes to dueling he is very lucky. When I say lucky, I mean he has super luck. I mean he can duel with his eyes closed, and win. In fact he usually does. After all these years I've never seen him open his eyes. Its insane! I mean, how does he read?!

"I'm just awesome like that."

What the?! Hawk!

"What? You're not the only one who can break the fourth wall."

Hawk, this is my narrative! Stop it!

"Fine..."

Anyways...Vivian is also a bit differant. She went through some stuff when she was younger and because of that she now has multiple personalities. Whenever she duels she speaks to her other personalities to see which stradegy is better. Whenever she switchs personality, her duel spirit changes as well. They range from "Spirit of the Harp" to "Queen Angel of the Roses" to "Wattmole".

Now then, by the end of the month all three of us had upgraded our decks. Vivian decided on using Nordics while Hawk used Gadgets. I decided on using Charmers.

Unfortunatly, the tournament and the duel in the street were just the tip of the iceberg...

Walking into Danger

Ever since I met ViVi-chan over the internet, I've been learning a lot about your universe. I was surprised to learn that Yu-Gi-Oh isn't as popular as it is here. Then again in this universe they're real people. Yugi and Kaiba and everyone throughout the differant series are real people. I saw the Earthbound Immortals on the news when I was small and reruns of tournaments past are shown as daily reruns.

But you probably want to know what happened on that day. Well in order for you to understand completly, I have to explain something.

To solve most petty disputes, many people duel. It's pretty common to see people dueling in the street. This is usully the time I see duel spirits.

On our way to school, we (Vivian, Hawk, and I) ran into two people dueling on the sidewalk. One was a young man in his early 20's, though he dressed like an 80's rocker. He was using Watts and his duel spirit was a Wattwoodpecker. It would peck him in the head in order to guide him. I remember La Jinn telling me it was a very primitive form of communication, and I pointed out that it was a bird. It didn't exactly speak. He sulked for a moment and returned to watching the duel

The other duelist was a creepy man that was more bone than muscle. He was bald with sunken eyes and gnarly fingers. His spirit was a Skull Servant. It gave me a strange feeling though. It felt like if I looked at it for too long, it would tear my soul asunder. La Jinn shuddered beside me and looked over at me with a worried expression. Vivian and Hawk seemed to sense something as well. Vivian hid behind Hawk and watched the duel from over his shoulder. Hawk reddened a little but said nothing. He furrowed his brow and placed one hand on my shoulder. He does this only when he knows I need reassuaring though this time I think he was trying to reassure himself as well.

At first it seemed the Watt-guy was winning. He had Wattcastle on the field and had Wattfox, Watthopper, and Wattchimera. He had full lifepoints and had destroyed every Wight and Skull Servant he set on the field. In one move, he changed it completly around. He placed a Zombie Master on the field, discarded a The Lady in Wight and special summoned a Skull Servant. At this point, Watt-guy laughed at what seemed like a foolish move. The creepy guy just smiled and equiped 3 Phalanx Pike to Skull Servant and decimated the field.

Watt-guy fell to his knees and stared at the creepy guy with awe. The Skull Servant shuffled forward and that was about the time I blacked out. I woke up a few minutes later, looking up at Vivian and Hawks worried faces. As I sat up, I looked around. Both men were gone and paper was littered all around. Hawk had picked up one and showed it to us once I stood up. It depicted an Allure Queen Lv 7 and a GaGaGa Girl inviting duelists to a tournament at the end of the month.

And like lambs to the slaughter we went.

Sorry if the chapter is a bit choppy, I had a little trouble wording this the way I wanted. Here's a picture of Zee and friends though in all their pixalated goodness.

Hello Again!

Hello again! Thanks for all those nice comments! It makes me very happy to see that I've grabbed your attention so quickly!

As I said before, I'm a Highschooler. Strictly speaking, I'm a Junior. Because of my fasination with Yu-Gi-Oh, I only have 2 friends, Vivian and Hawk. They're good friends, and they've stuck by me through thick and thin. Both are good duelists and have helped me become the duelist I am today. Hawk is only a little more obsessed than me and usually runs Toys or Windups. They're annoying as heck! Vivian on the other hand claims that it's only a hobby for her, though her eyes practically twinkle whenever she gets a new pack. She usually runs Gishki, though I've seen her run Nordics, Wights, and (only once) Ojama's.

I bet you're wondering whether or not they know about my little "gift", right? To answer your question, yes they do know and it doesn't bother them. Vivians spirit is a Spirit of the Harp and Hawks is a Kuriboh, to answer your next question. No, I'm not psychic, I'm just awesome.

As for me, I run Spellcasters and I rarely deviate from them. La Jinn rarely befriends anyone other than Spellcasters anyways. Kuriboh and Spirit of the Harp seem to be the only exception.

Now then, my usual day starts with being woken up by La Jinn. You don't really need an alarm clock when you have a sleepless spirit who guides your duels. After breakfast and stuffing my bag to the brim with homework, books, and cards, I walk to school. It's not very far and my friends live nearby so I usually walk with them. Hawk usually tries to scare Vivian and I, but we usually spot him before he can surprise us. Usually. On the way to school we like to stop by this diner that gives us free hot chocolate in the winter. I can get pretty cold in Michigan. When we get to school  we have about 30 minutes before class starts, so we duel. After school we either go home and do homework or stop by each others place to play videogames.

Unfortunatly the day it all started deviated from our usual schedule...

Cliffhanger!

I will try to update weekly from now on, but it would have to depend on my work schedule.

I made a picture of Zee on paint b/c I don't have a scanner to scan a good picture of her onto here. I will remedy this as soon s I cn. In the meantime, I figured it was about time I showed you what she looks like.
